Christmas Mini Guide

It's almost time for you to join me for some Christmas fun in the kitchen. To ensure you have the best experience, I have created a session guide to answer any questions you may have.

Lets get you prepared...

The session is 20 minutes long. I provide all the props apart from the outfits. Please plan ahead of time and use your maps to determine how long it may take to arrive at the studio. Also take into consideration any traffic that may affect travel time. Clients are booked in back to back so it's important that you arrive at your chosen time slot. When you arrive please WhatsApp me on 07593408512.

How am I going to get my child to smile?

Of course I always aim for them to give me a cheeky little smile and I have lots of tricks up my sleeve to achieve this. However, there is no pressure on your children to perform at the session, natural shots are always best. I like to shoot in a fun and relaxed manner so there is no pressure on them to be looking at the camera with big perfect smiles in every shot. If you are worried about smaller children I always suggest that parents bring their favourite toys/ snacks to help.

It is really important that you supervise your children to ensure they don’t damage any props on the day.  As mentioned before, I will be running lots of sessions and there are a lot of families who would be left disappointed if something were to break!

Let's talk outfits...

My most asked question every single year, ' what should my children wear?'

It's Christmas, be festive! From Christmas pyjamas to Christmas jumpers. You don't necessarily need to be all matching in identical outfits. Mix it up a little but stick to your colour palette. Neutral tones and soft colours are usually my favourite but rich greens and deep reds also look lovely with the Christmas set up.

Top Tips

Arrive early!

5 minutes early is perfect, this way you won't be stressing and rushing down. Arriving those 5 minutes early allows you time to make sure they are all neat and tidy before you come down to the studio. Please remain in the car until I have responded to your message.

Clean your children's faces

Double check your little one before you come into the studio. Eyes, nose and mouth. Bring wipes with you just incase. We want them looking their best.

Remove hair ties

Double check their wrists for hair ties or even smart watches.
